Restore volume, naturally
Smooth lines and restore lost volume with personalized dermal filler treatments — designed to enhance your features while keeping you looking like you, just refreshed.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that add volume beneath the skin to restore youthful contours and soften visible lines. Most modern fillers — including those made for the lips — are formulated with hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally found in the body that helps keep skin hydrated and plump.
As we age, collagen, elastin, and natural hyaluronic acid levels gradually decrease. This can lead to hollow cheeks, deeper facial folds, and thinner lips. Fillers help replace that lost volume and support the skin's structure, creating a smoother, more refreshed appearance without surgery or extended downtime.
Who is a good candidate?
Dermal fillers are a good option for most healthy adults who want to soften early signs of aging or restore volume that's changed over time — without surgery or extended downtime.
Signs fillers can help with
Flattened or hollowed cheeks, deepening nasolabial folds, thinning lips, a less defined jawline or chin, and fine lines that don't fully smooth out with skincare alone.
Fillers generally aren't recommended if you
Are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection near the treatment area, have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine, or have certain autoimmune conditions your provider should review individually.

Discover the best filler option for you
We work with several trusted, FDA-approved hyaluronic acid filler families so we can match the right product to your specific anatomy and goals, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Your injector will recommend a specific product (or combination) based on your treatment area, depth of correction needed, and desired texture — discussed in detail during your consultation.
Voluma® is designed for deeper cheek and midface volumizing. Vollure® and Volbella® are softer formulations often used for nasolabial folds and lips. The original Juvéderm Ultra line is a versatile option for lips and moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles.
Formulations range from very soft (Restylane Silk, designed for lips and fine lines) to firmer, structural products (Restylane Lyft, designed for cheeks and the back of the hands). Restylane Kysse is a newer lip-specific formula designed to move naturally with the mouth.
Designed to flex and stretch with your natural facial movement, which is why RHA is often chosen for dynamic areas like the lips and nasolabial folds where expression matters.
Offers a range of textures for smoothing fine lines and adding subtle volume, giving your injector another option for fine-tuning results in delicate areas.
How are fillers different from Botox?
Both are injectable treatments used to reduce signs of aging, but they work in different ways and target different concerns. Fillers restore or enhance volume, contour facial features, and smooth deeper lines by physically filling areas beneath the skin — results are immediate and can last 6 to 18+ months depending on the product and area. Neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Daxxify, Jeuveau) temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to soften dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated expressions — results typically appear within a few days and last 3 to 6 months.
In short: fillers add volume and shape, neurotoxins relax wrinkles caused by movement. Many clients benefit from combining both for more comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
What to expect during treatment
Your appointment starts with a real consultation — not a rushed five-minute chat.
Consultation
We review your history, goals, and examine the treatment area to recommend the right product for your anatomy.
Treatment
Topical numbing if needed, then precise injections using fine needles or micro-cannulas. Most sessions take 20–30 minutes.
Results
We check symmetry together before you leave, with room for small adjustments the same day if needed.
How to prepare, and how to care for results
Before your appointment
- Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before treatment
- Avoid blood-thinning supplements (fish oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, St. John's Wort) for about a week beforehand, if your doctor approves pausing them
- Avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin a few days prior, unless medically necessary — acetaminophen is generally fine
- Come in with clean skin, free of makeup if possible
- Let your injector know about any upcoming events so we can time treatment with enough buffer for swelling to resolve
In the first 24 hours after
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area
- Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot yoga
- Avoid alcohol
- Apply a cold compress (wrapped, not directly on skin) if swelling is noticeable
For the first week after
- Avoid extended sun or heat exposure on the treated area
- Hold off on facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion in the treated area until cleared by your injector
- Minor bruising or tenderness is normal and usually resolves within a few days to a week
Results timeline
| Treatment area / product type | Typical duration |
|---|---|
| Lips (softer HA formulas) | 6–12 months |
| Nasolabial folds / marionette lines | 9–12 months |
| Cheeks (structural / lifting formulas) | 12–18+ months |
| Chin and jawline | 12–18 months |
| Hands | 9–12 months |
Reversibility
One advantage of hyaluronic acid fillers — the type used in most of our filler options — is that they can be dissolved if needed. If you're unhappy with your results, or in the rare case of a complication, your provider can use an enzyme called hyaluronidase to break down the filler and largely reverse the treatment. This is one reason HA fillers are considered a lower-risk starting point compared to some longer-lasting or non-reversible filler types.
Risks & side effects
As with any injectable treatment, dermal fillers carry some risk. Most side effects are mild and temporary.
Common, mild & temporary
- Swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site
- Tenderness or mild discomfort
- Small bumps under the skin that typically resolve on their own
Less common
- Asymmetry
- Filler migration
- Rarely, vascular complications if filler is inadvertently injected into or near a blood vessel
Combination treatments
Dermal fillers are often most effective as part of a broader treatment plan rather than a stand-alone fix.
Two angles of aging
Filler + Botox
Botox softens dynamic wrinkles from muscle movement, while filler restores volume and fills static lines.
Smoother, longer-looking
Filler + Microneedling
Microneedling improves overall skin texture, which can help filler results look even smoother.
Support between sessions
Filler + Skincare
A good post-treatment routine supports skin health between sessions and can extend how fresh results look.

Dermal filler FAQs
How long do dermal fillers last?
Most dermal fillers last between 6 and 18 months depending on the product used, treatment area, and individual metabolism.
Are dermal fillers painful?
Most patients experience only mild discomfort. Many fillers contain lidocaine to help minimize pain during treatment, and topical numbing cream is available if needed.
Is there downtime after dermal fillers?
Most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment, although mild swelling or bruising may occur temporarily and typically resolves within a few days.
How soon will I see results?
Results are visible immediately after treatment, with full results appearing once any minor swelling resolves — usually within 1–2 weeks.
What's the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Fillers restore volume and smooth static lines by physically filling areas beneath the skin, with immediate results lasting 6–18+ months. Botox relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles (like crow's feet), with results appearing within a few days and lasting 3–6 months. Many patients combine both as part of a complete treatment plan.
Can dermal fillers be reversed?
Yes — hyaluronic acid fillers, which make up most of our filler options, can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.
Who shouldn't get dermal fillers?
Fillers generally aren't recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection near the treatment area, or have a known allergy to the filler ingredients. Your provider will review your full health history at your consultation.
Will my results look natural, or will people be able to tell?
Our approach focuses on subtle, balanced enhancement rather than dramatic change. Using conservative amounts and the right product for your anatomy is how we aim for results that look like you, just refreshed.
How much filler will I need?
This varies significantly by person and goal — someone wanting subtle lip enhancement needs far less than someone restoring significant cheek volume loss. Your injector will recommend an amount during your consultation, and treatment can always be built up gradually across visits.
Do you offer filler for hands?
Yes — hand rejuvenation with dermal filler can restore lost volume for a more youthful appearance, typically lasting 9–12 months.
Can I combine dermal fillers with other treatments in one visit?
In many cases, yes — filler is commonly paired with Botox or scheduled alongside a skincare treatment. Your injector will let you know if same-day combination treatment is appropriate for your specific plan.
